Here is a throw back for Halloween. Last year I teamed up with Deirdre Haggerty from “Ask the Pro Stylist” to create this Halloween look that is effective but fairly simple!
Deirdre is a freelance writer for various magazines including The Huffington Post. She also has her own column where she gives her strait forward opinion on all things beauty. For her straight shooting blog articles you can follow her at http://www.asktheprostylist.com/
I wanted to post this a couple of days before fright night so you have a chance to get it done for the ghosts and goblins!
Here is the step by step from article from last years Halloween!
First polish the nails with a lively bright orange of your choice.
Sponge on yellow acrylic paint (available in craft stores), and alternate the yellow between the top and the bottom of the nail to give it an uneven appearance. Apply matte top coat and let dry.
For the accent nail, first draw the cat. With black striping polish, paint an oval black spot for the cat’s body.
Add a smaller black spot for his head, and next place two black triangles on top of the head at opposite sides for his ears.
Using the black striping paintbrush, make a large sweeping line connected to the bottom of his body for his tail.
Make additional swirls on the remaining nails to create a dizzying effect.
Add black dots of varying sizes to the top of the cat nail to create dark stars.
I hope you have a Spooktacular Halloween everyone. Be safe!
I was in Florida for the Premier Beauty show and got such great vibes from Nails Magazine Next Top Nail Artist finalist, Celina Ryden. Truly a lady that loves the industry and the people in it. Never mind the talent factor! See her work here https://www.instagram.com/celinaryden/
So that was the clincher for me to register for her class that Light Elegance is having here in Las Vegas prior to the IBS show at the end of this month.
The Friday class is already sold out, so if you are thinking about taking the Thursday class you might want to head over as soon as possible.
The class is $225.00 and included $175.00 worth of product!!!!
I dropped by Hera Beauty yesterday to see the gals that were getting Shellac certified by Heather Davis, CND Ambassador.
Sonia, Valerie, Kathy and Heather.
The gals enjoyed a full day of education and got their CND Shellac certification!
Look at all the great nail art tools they were getting to play with!
Heather will be in town teaching one more day (tuesday, May 24th) at Hera Beauty, 4440 S Durango Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89147. Tuesday’s class will be on Gel Enhancements. You can contact her if you are interested in taking this class. Email her at Heather.firstname.lastname@example.org
It was great to meet you all. Enjoy your new knowledge and friendships!!!
