Well, I am sort of mixing up the seasons here because I am using a collection from China Glaze that was made available this last spring. The collection is called “Electric Lights” (see blog post http://seriouslynails.com/?p=4559) and what made me think of it is that fact that they glow in the dark. Well sort of, they glow under black lights! Still really cool right?
I think that they will be perfect for Halloween nails. So I am using the mini collection called “Speaker Your Mind” and some crazy long super pointed tips that I got on Amazon!
Speaker your Mind includes nail charms!

Red-y to Rave is a bright orange/red.

A pretty purple called Violet Vibes.
I was curious if the colors needed to be applied over top of a white polish to get more of a neon effect so I did a trio of the colors over white.

I’m not sure that you need to do that extra step. What do you think?
Comparison shot of colors with and without white base color.
I think I will put the base white down on the tips because they are clear. Better safe then sorry I suppose.
Here is my final design with the China Glaze Neon’s with some stamping, free hand art and some gems!
I’m getting excited to see all the wee ghosts, goblins, witches, and princess!
This post is a little behind since the collection got release April 1st, so I am going to get to the skinny of it quickly!
One of the newest, trendy events to be happening lately is electric music festivals like the one held here in Las Vegas. EDC or the Electric Daisy Carnival! Musical disc jockeys and huge light shows get everyone moving and shaking!
These “carnivals” have music, dancing and give folks a great chance to show off their individuality in all ways, including fashions!
One thing for certain at the music festivals is that there is definite color and fun, crazy, upbeat fashions.
So this collection from China Glaze fits the bill with the music carnival season already upon us.
The 2015 China Glaze Colour Adventure continues with the core Summer collection featuring 12 ELECTRIC NIGHTS lacquers with 9 containing “enhanced neon lacquers that illuminate under a black light and three first-of-its-kind splatter paint effect top coats. Mix and match them all to create a glowing, mashup manicure that won’t skip a beat.”
Let’s go through the colors!

What a great way to enjoy the summer months…hanging with friends doing mani’s, enjoying the hottest film of the season in a cool theater!
The Giver, set for release August 15, 2014 shows actor Brendon Thwaites as Jonas and his friend Fiona (played by Odeya Rush) as they struggle to understand the dark and complex secrets behind the seemingly ideal community.
I’v only seen the trailers, but it looks intriguing and with some cast members of note as well. One of my all time favorites, Meryl Streep! Oh and Taylor Swift for crying out loud!
So, China Glaze created The Giver collection. A limited edition collection for your summer enjoyment.
“Colour Your Destiny” with the bright colors and rich textures of China Glaze®’s exclusive The Givernail polish collection. Inspired by the most anticipated movie release of the summer, the collection combines bold and neutral crèmes, as well as a gorgeous glitter to create 12 limited edition shades.
Here is your preview, you lucky folks!
