I like this idea from Jessica’s Cosmetics for gift idea to show your customer appreciation.
We all search for a nice, service related (and relatively cost efficient) item to thank our customers at Christmas time for their patronage.
Jessica’s Cosmetics gives us two good options to help spread our message and to keep our clients skin and nails healthy. Especially at this time of year, when it is so dry.
The first is a very holiday appropriate gift of cuticle cream.
Made rich in emollients and in a perfect size package for easy transporting, this cuticle cream is perfect to counter the effects of winter weather.
The second part of the equation is to elongate the effects with cuticle oil. Phenomen cuticle oil has a dropper for quick and easy application. Phenomen Oil is a intensive moisturizer rich in natural jojoba, almond and rice oils.
You could give one or the other or perhaps both to you clients. Because, everyone loves a little gift now and then.
At Cosmoprof, I came across the LONDONTOWN booth and was given two lovely colors and a sample of a new product that they have available for sale September 1, 2015.
Instant Smudge Fix, sounds simple right? Well, it is simple to use and to fall for because it is one of those things that we all need at some point in our lives or careers as professional nail tech’s.
Instant Smudge Fix from LONDONTOWN
Necessity is the finest form of invention right???
Following is a pictoral of how the product works.
Smudged nail lacquer :(
The directions for smudges are as follows.
For smudges:
• Gently brush a thin layer over entire nail to smooth polish.
• Allow to dry for 10 seconds.
• Apply kur Protective Top Coat, kur Gel Genius Top Coat or kur Protective Matte Coat, if desired.
• Wait two minutes and apply one drop of kur Accelerating Drying Oil.
After my smudge, I brushed on a thin layer of Instant Smudge Fix to the entire nail but here was my first mistake. I applied too much brush pressure and took off the lacquer near the end of my fingernail.
too much pressure = removing lacquer :(
Ah, no problem I thought. I will just add another coat of lacquer! That’s what I did and then my second mistake! I proceeded to give my lacquer job a nice dent while I was trying to remove the over flow on the side of my nail…..(heavy sigh!)
….really???? lol
But wait, there are instructions for more disastrous nicks in your lacquer. Here they are.
For minor nicks and dents:
• Fill in ruined area with polish. Allow to dry for 10 seconds. Gently brush a thin layer of kur Instant Smudge Fix over entire nail to smooth polish.
• Allow to dry for 10 seconds.
• Apply kur Protective Top Coat, kur Gel Genius Top Coat or kur Protective Matte Coat, if desired.
• Wait two minutes and apply one drop of kur Accelerating Drying Oil.
I followed the instructions by filling in the nick,
waiting 10 seconds and lightly brushing Instant Smudge Fix on the entire nail to smooth it out.
before top coat
I didn’t have any of their top coats so I applied a coat of Seche Vite to finish the nail.
I will tell you, I am impressed that this product works as it states and the finished product looks like I didn’t even have a nick or smudge in it at all!
with a top coat
Pretty great right????? What do you think?
The color is gorgeous and Instant Smudge Fix should be in everyone’s cupboard. Because, I can’t be the only one who ever smudges or nicks or dents or destroys nail polish, can I???
Again, it is available online (pre-ordered only before Sept 1) at http://www.londontownusa.com/product.php?productsID=86 for only $14.00 With the small amount that you actually use to fix your smudges, this will last forever.
And while you are there, make sure to investigate the wonderful restorative nail cream and eye popping color selection!
PS. This delicious creamy medium/dark mauve color is called “Save the Queen”
Recently, Soft Landings had sent me a sample of their wonderful lint free towels. See post here at http://seriouslynails.com/?p=3526
But the funny thing was that I found out they also have a car care cleaning system that include their famous “Softies”
Well, I ordered it (since I just got a new to me car!) and it arrived in the mail yesterday!
The surprise was that it was beautifully gift wrapped. I suppose that they thought I was ordering it for a Christmas present.
Doesn’t it look like a huge peppermint candy?!?!
Thanks to Kathy W who spent the time to wrap my “Three-Some” and make it look so nice.
The “Three-some” consists of a washing mitt with special dread-lock type hairs for a soft wash and a yellow side for getting off stubborn stuff. A microfiber towel for drying and (the reason I found this deal) a package of disposable lint free towels for waxing, polishing and detailing your vehicle!
Here are some pics from when I used a dry “softies” to quickly clean the rims on my car.
I am re-posting this to share the direct link to get the Mini Manor for yourself. The marketing company for Ciate sent me a link so we can all enjoy this wonderful Christmas gift idea!
Please see below for the link!
I follow a lovely young gal in Dorset, UK. She is in the process of going to nail tech school, so we will soon have another passionate nail artist to enjoy.
From across the pond, but I believe she will do wonderfully.
To give credit where credit is due, Elbie retweeted from Selfridges.com a post about this fun and charming gift idea.
