So for most of you that follow me, you know I struggle with a couple of different nail art techniques.

Water Marbling!

My awful water marbling!

and Stamping.

My awful stamping!

My awful stamping!

Although I am getting better at it, I had the AHA moment the other day when I was out shopping with my friends from Australia!

We were actually in a outlet mall here in Las Vegas. You know the malls here where people will give you samples and try to sell you stuff from Kiosks in the center of the mall.

(No, I don’t need any more eye cream buddy!!!)

One of the gals was chatting at a kiosk that sold stamping plates. She was having fun and the young gal was actually letting her try it on her self. I mentioned that I suck at it and we all had a good laugh.

Eventually, my friend purchased a kit and after she had paid, the young gal actually took a 180 grit file and starting softly filling the top of the “spongy” end. I was mortified!!!

“What are you doing???” She told me that her customers kept coming back saying that the stamping kits didn’t work.

Even though the instructions mentions gently removing the “seal” on the soft end of the rubber stamp bit, folks weren’t reading it. And coming back mad. So they decided to do it for folks.

AHA!!!!!

I came back to my shop, took out my buffing file, buffed off the “seal”, and behold…..a perfect stamp transfer!!!!!

AHA!!!!!

When it looks like this, your done!

When it looks like this, your done!

Wipe clean and your ready to go.

So, I am sharing my little trick I picked up at the outlet mall here in town.

Yup, perfect stamps everytime. PERFECT!
