Did you know that October is not just for pink ribbons and breast cancer. I found out the other day that October is also domestic abuse month and the color they fly is purple.

Ironically, I received this e-newsletter about how the Professional Beauty Association is empowering beauty professionals to recognize and help victims of domestic abuse.

We all know that in our business, we are nurtures of nails as well as peoples emotions and souls! We hold their hands for a hour, massage and sooth their feet, we make them feel beautiful and give them a chance to relax.

Because of this intimate relationship, we may just get that glimpse into their private life’s that could save their lives. We could be the one to recognize the symptoms of abuse that our clients may be experiencing.

There are three ways to help.

1) Make a donation online at https://probeauty.wufoo.com/forms/zywwjf80d18a7x/

2) Bring awareness and open be pro active by ordering CIO materials for your salon/school and/or

3) you can join forces with CUT IT OUT by becoming a trainer, sponsor or fundraiser. More information on training and ordering materials are at https://probeauty.org/cutitout/getinvolved/

Thank you to the Professional Beauty Association for your help in helping us to help others!
