This IBS show is going to break my bank!!!! LOL I just got this information via Gina, from Akzentz!

It might go back to getting letters in the mail as a kid, but I love getting nail mail!!!!
Last week, I got a beautiful package from my Canadian friends, Akzentz, from Vancouver, BC.
At first, I was so darned happy to have received the complete set of LIMITED EDITION Spring Mini”s…
beautiful muted and soft colored gel minis from Akzentz
That I didn’t even see that they had sent a lovely hand written card! I want to thank them very much for that extra effort! So sweet.
I wanted to show you a little of what I did with the product that they sent me.
Besides the mini’s they also sent me two Luxio gel colors from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
and Crush. It is my mood of late for pretty feminine colors. And Crush hit the spot for me!!!
Here is a close up.
And here is a step by step of some nail art that I thought was fun. I hinted at it last week with this picture!
On a prepared gel nail, I applied some glitter in Gel Play. Cure.
Then I applied Crush on the tip of the nail in a lazy french pattern.
Using a small gel brush, I pulled the color up towards the cuticle area.
Then I applied some white tinted top coat. Just to meet the color.
Then I added drops of the tinted top coat on the color to blend into the color to create this design. Cure.
Top coat to finish in and smooth out the surface.
I thought that I was finished with this look but decided to add some cellophane to give the art even more dimension.
I used one of the lovely mini’s (Aquamarine Dream) for my statement fingernail art. The ring finger was inspired by Jennifer https://www.instagram.com/gelindulgence/. I will be writing about that technique soon. So stay tuned!
It takes a village to raise a child but only two nail techs to create these beauties! lol
Kathy from Couture Nails by Kathy came for a fill and brought her nail supplies and great ideas. We collaborated to create these bad boys!
Thumbs are Sharpie over glitter embedded in hard gel, then sealed.
Pointers are swirls made with Gel Play by Akzentz and top coated with So Jelly tinted top coat by Profile Girls.
Middle fingers are Shellac topped with larger glitter sealed INTO clear gel top coat.
Mirror Effects Gel on the ring finger. We did her gel fill, then used gel to create a 3D swirl. Once we went over it with the Mirror Effect Gel, we realized it wasn’t 3D enough, so went over the swirls with Gel Play after to give it more elevation! We both really like the effect that was created!
Pinkies are CND with Swarovski® crystals in dark and light pink and opal essence.
This last weekend, I spent in the company of some fine women in our industry. The High Road to Education is a non product specific class taught by industry leaders. One full day of education and then another day of one on one with the educators and their teams!
In no particular order here is some of the things I got to learn about….
And as Gina does so well, a little extra bling for it!
Look at these cute minis from Akzentz available 4/1/16!
I didn’t get a chance to sit with Amy Becker but I did get to watch as she showed us her techniques with Master Works Gel!
Although I found out these are not finished yet, I thought they were beautiful anyways. Amy told me she will take a picture and send it when she is done with them! Such talent. I think it looks like mehndi tattoos! http://masterworksbyamybecker.com/
I took a class from Elizabeth Morris (http://www.thenailhub.com/podcast) on the business of nails! Including many business issues that you just don’t think about as a creative nail tech.
She gave us some homework which I will share with you in another post.
One of the best things that happened to me this weekend was that I got to meet up with some ladies that I follow on social media.
