I felt like I really needed to step up to the plate and get it done considering I signed up for it! So today, I got the second challenge and watched the video (like 100 times) and I now present to you my first attempt.
Practice Makes Perfect! #workforit
OK it may look easy on those first 100 views but it is intricate work and you really do need to PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
Once the challenge is complete I will post what it is supposed to look like from the artist. But until then, know that there are 1000’s of nail artists out there challenging themselves with this Neiru challenge.
If you want to see more of the artists work on these chalenges, you can go to social media and search #neiruchallenge
This time the class is based on doing extra fine line work concentrating on your “linesman ship” and to help you build confidence!
If you signed up and viewed the time sensitive video, you know the technique. And if you missed it here is a picture of my “fine lines workshop” finished product. This work is done with gel color. (Mine is done with OPI Gel Colors)
It was very interesting and fun to do this fine line technique!
The other part of the challenge was to take the technique and do your own thing! Taking what you learned from the online class and adding your own touch/style!
So here is my own thang!!!
This kind of reminds me of stained glass work!
If you love nail art and new techniques, you need to check out Neiru. You can also purchase online lessons from Neiru for as little as $25 a month! A great way to keep the creative juices flowing!
So , of course I signed up and they got to 500 followers very quickly. I was eager to learn the new techniques.
Here is my creation from the lesson that she gave!
lesson #1 from Neiru done by Seriously Nails
I also learned a couple of tricks from the lesson as well. There are a few different layers to this nail art. Starting with a base of color, adding blocks of color, creating the flowers, adding dimension with the white and then some glitz with the gold foil!
Fun and very interesting! Of course, I see things that I did that could be done better next time. Practice makes perfect right! I hope you enjoy them.
Keep a look out for more Japanese inspired nail art. This is a two week online FREE class!
