Your heart shines through!
Anything to make our lives easier or make our jobs better, I am all for.
That is why I am excited with this new item for gel color lovers!
Introducing the PROSHAKER!
Watch the video on youtube to see how it works!
Brought to you by OPI.
I know I am late starting this but I thought it might be fun! This is a challenge put on by Nails Magazine where you have to create a months worth of nail art and then hashtag it for them (and all you guys) to see it.I think it’s a brilliant way to share nail art of all kinds.
Could be interesting to see how I face up to the challenge. I will start with the flag on day 5 tomorrow! And then I will try and catch up with the rest of the ones I missed.
Sometimes I think that when we are pushed to do things in a timely fashion, we create really amazing things.
Wish me luck!
Oh, well, I guess I could put day one on here. I picked up one of the new additions to OPI’s Gel Color collection while I was at the ISSE show in Long Beach. It is so classically beautiful.
It is part of the “Femme Fatales” kit.
Presenting “So Hot It Burns” by OPI Gel Color.
I am very pleased to show you some stunningly good nail art done by a fellow that has a huge following in the nail world.
His name is Vu Nguyen and he is a true artist.
I have had the pleasure to work with both Vu and his equally talented brother, Robert.
Here are three pictures of nails that he did on our mutual friend, Roxanne. His medium is Gel Color by OPI. Theme is a little other wordly! LOL
And whimsical! These two brothers are also the funniest and nicest fellow to learn from.
OK, I admit it! I am a junkie when it comes to things for nail art! I found this kit at the local Cosmoprof. It is from Young Nails who are based out of Anaheim California.
This product came in a kit that was on promo for the holidays. I, of course, love anything shiny so I couldn’t resist!
Here is a picture and description from their website.
|The Celebrate KitWhen the end of the year rolls around, we’ve got nothing on our minds but the word: Celebrate. That’s why we’ve created a super fun party inspired bundle of glitters that will make sure the party goes on and on. The limited edition boxed kit includes:Royal Red Glitter
Emerald Green Glitter
Rock Star Glitter
Shimmering Sand Glitter
Instruction DVD showcasing designs in acrylic, gel, and mani Q.
It was such a fun kit to play with. My friend, Janice, wanted a quick change before she went away for the holidays so I put OPI “Bubble Bath” Gel Color on her. ( With Base and Top Coat of course)
Next I put a coat of No Cleanse UV Top Sealer by OPI just on the tips like I would do for a french manicure. Before curing this, I dipped her finger into the pot of iridescent pinkish sparkly “Rock Star” glitter from Young Nails. You just have to make sure that you pat down the glitter or your nails will be rough where the sparkle is.
Once I cured them for two minutes, I applied a coat of the No Cleanse Top Sealer over her whole nail and cure for two more minutes. NICE! No wiping or cleaning. Just cuticle oil and “BYE Janice, have fun on your Christmas holiday!”
As you can tell, they have grown out a bit, but you get the idea. This actually shows one of the reason I like Bubble Bath from OPI. It is neutral enough not to be glaring as your nails grow out.
I have had fun recently with my Christmas Snow Storm nail art.
It seems to be attracting some attention. Most likey because it is very much Christmasy nail art!
And I think because white nails made such a smash this summer for nails.
Anyways, people seem to comment where ever I go. Today at Crate and Barrel I couldn’t help but notice how well they worked with the Christmas decorations!
What do you think?
Stay tuned for more Christmas Snow Storm Nail art adventures!
